I founded this mentoring programme after working in a variety of roles supporting young people, including as a youth mentor for different organisations, a peer representative at a mental health charity, and a support worker in children’s homes over the last 5 years.

I offer one-to-one mentoring for young people aged 11–18 in South Gloucestershire, providing a safe space to talk, build confidence, and support emotional wellbeing.

For young people aged 11–18 who need extra support with confidence, wellbeing, school, or life challenges. Referrals welcome from parents, schools, and professionals.

Each mentoring relationship is guided by the STEP values: Safety, Trust, Empowerment, and Partnership, creating a supportive, respectful environment where young people feel heard, build confidence, and are supported by those around them.

Strong, consistent relationships are key, building trust, encouraging openness, and supporting positive, lasting change over time.
Sessions are tailored to each young person’s needs and interests. Activities may include:
• Walks or active sessions
• Sports or outdoor activities
• Creative or artistic activities
• Educational visits
• Time to talk and reflect in a relaxed environment
• Occasionally getting a snack or some food together
These activities help create a natural and comfortable environment where young people feel able to talk and build trust.

My approach is flexible and relational, maintaining clear professional boundaries and safeguarding standards while creating a safe, supportive space for young people to thrive. At its heart, this programme is built on the belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported, and that with the right encouragement, they can create meaningful change in their own lives.
