Safeguarding Policy

Effective Date: 1st June 2026

I am fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all young people. The mentoring programme is built on safe, trusted relationships, and all sessions are delivered in a secure, professional, and supportive environment.

I am:

  • Enhanced DBS checked
  • Trained in Paediatric First Aid
  • Trained in Trauma-Informed practice, through NAPAC
  • Trained in Equality and Diversity
  • Trained in Adolescent Mental Health
  • Safeguarding trained (Level 2 and 3)
  • The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), so I am responisble for overseeing all safeguarding matters

Clear procedures are in place for reporting and responding to concerns. I follow national safeguarding guidance and, where appropriate, communicate with schools, parents/carers, and local safeguarding services to ensure safe and coordinated support.
