Equality, Inclusion and Diversity

I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all young people, families, and partners. I believe everyone should be treated fairly and with dignity, and I actively promote equality and inclusion in everything I do.

The Approach

I support and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, regardless of:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Gender identity
  • Race, ethnicity, or nationality
  • Religion or belief
  • Sex or sexual orientation
  • Pregnancy or family circumstances

I recognise that every young person is unique and aim to ensure the service is accessible, supportive, and inclusive for all.

What I Do

I aim to:

  • Provide equal access to the mentoring services
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment where young people feel valued
  • Adapt my approach to meet individual needs, including SEND and wellbeing support
  • Challenge discrimination, prejudice, or inappropriate behaviour
  • Work closely with families and schools to support each young person effectively

My Expectations

I expect everyone involved in the service to:

  • Treat others with respect and kindness
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour
  • Not engage in discrimination, bullying, or harassment

Any concerns will be taken seriously and addressed appropriately.
